22 Years of Criminal Law Experience

Karen Amundson brings 22 years of trusted and decisive courtroom experience as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney litigating cases – credentials that make her the right choice for Town of Warwick Justice.



Amundson, who raised her family in Warwick, has been endorsed by the Warwick Republican Committee and Orange County Conservative Party — testaments to her success and exceptional work ethic.



“My entire career has been steeped in public service and I would be honored to serve Warwick as a Town Justice,” she said. “The endorsements of my candidacy send a clear, energetic message that a proven track record of experience, leadership, impartiality and integrity matter.”



Amundson, currently Assistant Orange County Attorney representing the Orange County Department of Social Services in Family Court, has also served as an attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Orange County, Inc., and as an Assistant District Attorney in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. She has represented more than 1,000 clients in county, town and village courts, handling everything from misdemeanors to felonies such as attempted murder, rape, forgery and DWIs. She has a mastery of criminal law, courtroom etiquette and sentencing guidelines – key attributes for Warwick’s next Town Justice.

“Public service always has been the bedrock of my career, and I will serve as Town Justice with the same values that have guided me as a prosecutor, defense attorney and mother,” she said.
